Y.E "Rural Green: The young people who transform"
Mollina, Malaga ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ
16.02-25.02.2026

My Erasmus experience in Spain was something truly special.

Together with Georgians, Bulgarians, and Spaniards, we shared unforgettable moments, especially during our cultural exchange evenings. Each night was filled with music, traditions, laughter, and a genuine curiosity to learn from one another. It felt amazing to see how different cultures can come together so beautifully.

One of the most meaningful things I brought back with me is a small, symbolic charm โ€” something Iโ€™ll keep until the day I see a stork and tie it to a tree, continuing a tradition that now feels very personal to me.

This experience wasnโ€™t just about discovering the outside world. It helped me understand something deeper โ€” how important it is for each of us to contribute, to be involved, and to make a difference, no matter how small it may seem.

Erasmus didnโ€™t just show me the world โ€” it showed me my place in it

My Erasmus exchange project in Malaga, Spain, was an amazing experience. It was my first Erasmus program, and I learned a lot during this time. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming, and I always felt safe, appreciated, and supported by everyone.

During the project, we learned about sustainability, especially how rural areas work and how we can protect nature and live more sustainably in our everyday lives. I also learned a lot about teamwork and how powerful it can be when people from different backgrounds share their ideas and experiences.

It was also my first time meeting such a large group of international people, which made the experience even more special. I enjoyed learning about Spanish culture and sharing Georgian culture with others. One of the most fun moments was when we performed a Georgian wedding scene as a role play during the cultural night.

Overall, it was a very meaningful and unforgettable experience, and I am grateful for everything I learned and the people I met.

The 10 days spent in Spain became one of the most memorable experiences for me. Within the framework of the Erasmus+ youth exchange program titled "Rural Green," we addressed not only environmental issues, but the national groups from Georgia, Spain, and Bulgaria also managed to share historical and cultural experiences with one another. Every day, we shared our perspectives and traditions. During the project, we extensively discussed modern ecological challenges, which made me realize how important it is to make an individual contribution to the sustainable development of our country. However, for me, one of the most unforgettable moments was the Georgian cultural evening.
The Georgian group decided to present the unique concept of a Georgian wedding. Through this performance, we tried to convey the key features of Georgian traditions and the elements that make our traditions so special. We shared with the project participants the synthesis of music, dance, and song characteristic of a Georgian wedding, which, I would say, sparked great admiration among the Spanish and Bulgarian participants.
These 10 days were the best opportunity to once again see how great the interest in Georgian culture is and how important such projects are for deepening connections between young people across Europe. I saw once more that Europe is a unique space of diversity, tolerance, and the merging of cultures. I am glad that I gained unique memories and accumulated new knowledge and emotions, which I brought back home to Georgia.

Project โ€œRural Greenโ€ was a very interesting experience that focused on sustainable living, the importance of ecological habits, and the role rural communities can play in creating positive change.
Throughout the project, we participated in many interactive workshops, group discussions, and case studies that helped us understand real-life challenges and come up with solutions together, making the activities more interesting, practical, and engaging.
During this time, I also met many amazing people from both my national team and different cultures, which made the whole experience even more meaningful and memorable.
Overall, this project helped me better understand my role in society, especially in terms of sustainability. It encouraged me to be more active in my community and showed me why raising environmental awareness is important.
Many thanks to both organisations involved for this opportunity and for their constant support throughout the project

Participating in the Rural Green Erasmus+ project was one of the most meaningful and unforgettable experiences of my life. As my first Erasmus+ project, it became the perfect introduction to what youth mobility, learning, and international collaboration can offer.
The project helped me understand the importance of sustainability, rural development, and youth empowerment in a very practical way. Through group activities and discussions, I learned how environmental engagement can contribute to positive change in rural communities. Everything we did was connected to real challenges that young people face today.
However, what made this experience truly special were the people I met.
I had the chance to connect with inspiring participants from different countries, each of them bringing their own perspective and culture . We learned from each other, supported each other. The atmosphere was warm and motivating.
This project helped me grow personally. I returned home with new skills, new knowledge, and unforgettable memories. Most importantly, I came back with a stronger belief that young people really can become ambassadors of change within their communities and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future.
This project will always remain special to me, not only because it was my first Erasmus+ experience, but because it showed me how powerful youth collaboration can be.

Participating in the Erasmus+ youth exchange "From climate anxiety to climate activism and wellbeing" was a very meaningful experience for me.
The days I spent in Spain gave me the opportunity to gain new knowledge about environmental issues, work as a team member, as well as meet and befriend youth from different countries.
The topic of climate anxiety especially made me reflect on how small changes in everyday life can have a positive impact.
Cultural evenings and shared activities created a warm and friendly atmosphere that made me comfortable in a foreign country.
After the project, I returned more motivated, with new ideas and a strong desire to stay actively involved in similar initiatives in the future.

I had an amazing oppurtunity to join the project called "From Climate Anxiety to Climate Wellbeing"The project explored how young people experience and cope with climate anxiety, and how we can turn concern into meaningful action.During the workshops, we learned about the causes of climate anxiety, discussed environmental challenges, and discovered practical ways to contribute to solutions at local and global levels.

What I appreciated the most was that the project didnโ€™t focus only on problems, but also on solutions. It gave me a more positive and realistic mindset that even small actions matter and that change is possible when people work together.I left the project feeling more motivated aware, and emotionally stronger.

Beyond the educational part, I also had an amazing time in Spain. The atmosphere, the people, and the overall experience made it even more special. One of my favorite parts was the cultural nights, where each country shared its traditions, food, music, and dances. It was such a fun and beautiful way to learn about different cultures and connect with others. These moments created strong bonds between participants and made the experience unforgettable.
