Event: dedicated to the Black History Month, will be held by the U.S Embassy Public Affairs Department in cooperation with the American Studies Department of the Education & Humanities Faculty

On November 7, by the invitation of the head of Public Affairs Section Lola Petrova and Cultural Attaché James Dewey, the American Professor of literature of the Georgetown University Ori Soltes delivered a lecture on American Writer Philip Roth’s work in general and particularly on his book “Portnoy’s Complaint”, which was translated by the U.S. Embassy in Georgia. The lecture was attended by the professors and all students of the American Studies and Education Department. The lecture was followed by serious and fruitful dialogue between the students and speaker.

The Dean of the Faculty of Education and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Tamar Shioshvili organized a visit of the freshman and Senior Students of the American Studies Direction to the U.S Embassy where the Head of the Library Nana Shughladze registered the students in the U.S. Embassy electronic library. Jeremy Richard, Information Attaché of the Public Affairs Section of the U.S Embassy met with students and set plan for future cooperation.
