If you use our 2024 Website editor, you'll know that you can also 'tag' events in the calendar. This tool helpfully colour codes a tag on the event itself. Once you have a few tags, your parents will be able to filter your calendar quickly and easily, so they can find the events that apply to their children without having to look at every future occasion that you've added.
See more on how to do this here: https://academy.eschools.co.uk/how-do-i-use-the-website-calendar/

SATs week is only days away, but by using the Teaching & Learning tools now, your teachers can prepare their students with advice, useful links, worksheets or additional information...
Projects is a great way to store resources for your students to delve into online. Add reading lists, support videos, links to websites... you can even test their knowledge by creating a multiple choice quiz!
Class Pages is a perfect tool for notices regarding SATs; consider using it to keep students and their parents informed about what's going on.
Groups can be utilised to separate your class into ability tiers, so teachers can direct work to different students easily.
Messages is a good tool to use with your students during this time. Pupils can ask questions, receive feedback and raise concerns as they prepare for SATs week.
There's still time to bolt these tools onto your existing package if you don't currently have access to them. Talk to our Support team on how to do this.

2026 Leavers:
You might want to take this term to consider what happens to any documents, files or general access to eSchools for any member of staff that may be leaving at the end of the term. You may wish to change the owner of certain saved files so that you have access to them moving forward or you may want to remind yourself to restrict access for users once they have left the school. If you use our online payments tool, you might want to take this term to remind any parents who owe money to settle bills before their child leaves the school in July.

It’s possible to get yourself ahead by using this term to implement change. If you are an administrator or a teacher, here’s some ways in which to give yourself an early advantage.
New Website & DfE Tracker:
Lots of schools like the idea of starting a new academic year with a brand new look to their website. If this is something that your school is keen on, we advise you to talk to our design team this term. While this process doesn’t usually take long, we tend to have a lot of schools wanting a new website at the same time! Ensure your school is at the front of the queue by expressing an interest today. We’ll also move you to the new updated CMS, so you might want to have this training during this term, so you know how it works and are confident to make necessary edits as soon as you begin in September. Schools using the new CMS will also have access to the DfE Tracker, an online tool that’ll help you keep an eye on your essential website content. You may want to take advantage of that this term, especially if you believe you have a forthcoming inspection.
