“Tiddler late!!” has been the phrase on all our children’s lips this week, after thoroughly enjoying the story during circle time. Our provision areas have been transformed as the children dive deep into the ocean, exploring and imagining the underwater world that Tiddler calls home!🐟🐠

We loved welcoming so many families into our setting — from tiny babies and busy toddlers to parents-to-be. It was such a lovely, busy morning sharing what Explorers is all about and showing families why places with us are being reserved so far in advance. 💛

As our little community continues to grow, we’re searching for warm, energetic and enthusiastic Early Years Apprentice and a Level 2/3 Early Years Practitioner to join our Explorer Nursery team.

🧸 A day in the life at Explorer Nursery might include:
✨ Being offered endless cups of invisible tea
✨ Enjoying daily performances of nursery-rhyme classics
✨ Taste-testing (pretend!) play dough cakes before 9am

✨ Heading out for muddy, magical forest school adventures
✨ Working closely within a small, supportive team to create exciting moments that help shape each child’s learning journey

We have full-time positions available, for both Level 2 or 3 Early Years Practitioner and an Early Years Apprentice!

You’ll be:

What a perfect way to end the week — a magical morning in the forest! 🌿

The Pioneer children enjoyed a wonderful outdoor adventure, immersed in the fresh air and natural surroundings. With the breeze in their hair and mud on their hands, they embraced every moment — exploring, discovering, and truly living life to the fullest.✨

What an incredible day for weather today! We experienced everything from glorious sunshine to rain, thunder and lightning—even a burst of hailstones. Our Pioneers loved every moment of it!🌤️⛈️

After watching the changing weather from the window, the children were inspired to create their own rain clouds. Later, we made kites and took them outside to enjoy the sunshine and gentle breeze.🪁

A few weeks ago, we shared some exciting news about the changes coming to Explorers this summer. We’re delighted to introduce Pathfinders Preschool — a warm, inviting and challenging learning environment designed to support our children aged 3–4 years as they prepare to embark on their school journey.✨

With this exciting step forward comes a brand-new uniform, now available to purchase in the QE shop!👕

Our Pathfinders will move away from the traditional Chapter House uniform and into a more relaxed, child-friendly style — perfect for exploring the world around them. From messy play to hands-on learning, this uniform is designed to embrace every part of their day.🫟

Not only does this support our children’s independence as they take part in our enriching extra-curricular activities, but it also makes life easier for busy parents. The uniform is practical, easy to wash and quick to dry — ideal for everyday adventures.🧺

While the new uniform will become compulsory once children turn 3 and begin Pathfinders, we do have a range of sizes available for our younger children too.

The collection is now live on the website, and we’re happy to arrange collection from Explorers Nursery if that’s more convenient. You can also visit the shop in person — the perfect excuse to enjoy a coffee and cake at Woodlands Café afterwards!☕️

Over the past year, our Pioneer children have had the opportunity to take part in weekly PE sessions with Mr Mason — and what incredible progress we’ve seen!🤸‍♀️🏋️‍♀️

These sessions have not only strengthened the children’s physical development, but have also supported their listening skills, turn-taking, understanding, and a wide range of social skills. Most importantly, they’ve helped the children grow in confidence and discover just how capable their bodies can be!⚽️🏏

Just like that, we’re only two weeks away from our final Open Day of the 2025/26 academic year! Our Summer Open Day is fast approaching—and there’s still time to book your place for a tour at QE.

We’re inviting all expectant parents and future families who may be planning a return to work in Summer 2027—now is the perfect time to start exploring childcare options for your little ones. Over the past few months, we’ve welcomed so many wonderfully organised families preparing for the end of maternity and paternity leave—we’d love to welcome you too!🌈

Our Open Day is the ideal opportunity to discover everything QE has to offer, from the very beginning through to the final stages of education:
