bringing music and band tuition to Primary schools Rocks Nā Pops have also taken 15 of the 32 bands they manage to record at professional studios in York.
Rocks Nā Pops is a York based organisation that teaches bass, electric guitar, synthesizer, drumkit and singing to over 300 primary children each week in 11 York primary schools. 196 of these children also play in 32 weekly bands. This academic year, children have performed at around 60 concerts including festivals like Shepley and Galtres; open air events at the Knavesmire, Joseph Rowntrees Park, Westbank Park and Hobmoor and at venues including the Barbican and Grand Opera House.
