🚀✨ The 2025/2026 Committee Signing Off ✨🚀

Just like that, an incredible 4 days come to an end! Thank you to and York European Campus for hosting us.

We are so grateful for how welcoming and supportive everyone was throughout the week. We truly enjoyed presenting our work and hearing about all of the incredible initiatives that have taken place over the past year. It’s inspiring to see so many amazing ideas making a real impact!

Last Thursday, we had the privilege of partnering with the York Accelerator Hub and to deliver our first Innovation Hub event. 🚀

Designed to simulate a fast-paced startup environment, the event challenged students to develop a complete business concept within just one hour and pitch it to a panel of industry experts. With over 8 teams pitching on the evening, the energy, creativity, and quality of ideas on display were outstanding.

Each team had experienced mentors who providing valuable guidance and insight throughout the process.

Last Tuesday, we were invited to attend featuring David Wheeldon, Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy at YouTube.

David delivered a compelling talk on the pressing question: should we regulate the internet? particularly in the context of growing regulation and ongoing debates around social media bans for under-16s.

Thank you for the invitation to collaborate on this event, it was incredibly insightful and thought provoking.

Last night we hosted our Funding Accelerator in collaboration with the NatWest team and Hydrologiq, what a brilliant evening it was.

A huge thank you to the NatWest team for delivering such an insightful and practical session, and to Ben from Hydrologiq for sharing his experience and expertise so openly.

It was incredibly valuable for everyone involved.

We are delighted to announce that we have been selected to present The Vision Summit at the Spring Symposium in Thessaloniki, Greece, hosted at York’s European campus. 🚀

We are excited to showcase our work on an international stage. We will be posting updates on the event from the 6th-9th of May 🔥

END OF YEAR BAR CRAWL 🍻

We’re finishing the year with our final joint event, a bar crawl with PPE and Econ Soc, ending it all with a club night 🕺✨

It’s the perfect chance to meet people from other societies, celebrate the end of the year and have a great night out. The weekend before roses!
