A momentous occasion that marks a real change in our understanding of the Jewish story in York. We're so proud of our own Dr Louise Hampson for her contributions to this incredible piece of York history.

Thanks to Rabbi Dr Elisheva Salamo, and Dr Louise Hampson of the University of York's StreetLife Team, for uncovering the blue plaque on Coney Street outside the Next building yesterday. It celebrates York's forgotten C13 synagogue.
