We had a brilliant morning welcoming in our year 11 students for results day 2026. It was so wonderful to see so many students in school to receive these results. One of our college visitors even commented that they could see the brilliant relationships between staff and students and what a lovely environment it was.

If your child is heading to Sixth Form or college this September, they may be eligible for a 16–19 bursary — designed to ease costs for families with a household income below a certain threshold.💰

Each institution sets its own criteria, so 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱’𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝘅𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺 to find out:

A reminder to our year 11 students and families that results day is tomorrow and we will be open 9-10.30am. We cannot wait to see you 🥰🎉

Again, we are so proud of you all. Remember that you’ve already achieved great things throughout your educational journey and your hard work, effort and perseverance up to here is something to be super proud of.

You all can, and will, achieve amazing things. Just make sure you all keep in touch as we love hearing about what you’ve gone on to do.

Recently, our Netball Team were awarded the Yeovil Institute of Sport Performance of the Year at the 2026 Shining Stars Award Ceremony.👏

Their journey this year has been a clear demonstration of the power of a growth mindset. After starting the season with low moral due to an early loss, conversations were had and the team recognised that setbacks were not a reflection of their limits but an opportunity to learn and improve.

As effort, perseverance, and strategic practice increased, the team’s performance transformed. Consistent wins and strong score lines followed- highlighting how a commitment to growth, learning from mistakes, and trusting the improvement process can lead to meaningful and sustained success.💫

Meet Will, formerly of Stanchester Academy, who achieved A*, A, A in his A Level subjects - Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. Will’s outstanding results are a testament to his hard work over the last two years.🌟

He is now off to study Physics at Cardiff University, when asked about his time at Yeovil College, he shared:

“Opening my results today has made me extremely happy, I would have not been able to achieve this if it was not for all the support I have received from the college. I chose Yeovil College as it was close by and offered the subjects, I was passionate about, studying here has been great. The practical elements to my courses have allowed me to dive deeper and broaden my knowledge, which will help me when starting university.”👏

Few students embody the spirit of Yeovil College quite like Will!🎊

From becoming our very first Student Ambassador and representing the College at countless events, to being recognised with the prestigious Shining Star Award in 2025 for his outstanding commitment and contribution, Will has made a lasting impact on the Yeovil College community. Yesterday, we had the privilege of celebrating another incredible milestone alongside him and his family as he receives his A Level results.👏

Will has achieved an excellent set of results, securing three Bs in Business, Economics and Geography. His success has given him the confidence to take the next step towards an exciting future with the Royal Navy, where he hopes to specialise in Logistics.

Speaking on Results Day, Will reflected on the journey that has brought him to this moment:

"Yeovil College has given me confidence, support and help whenever I needed it. The teachers are exceptional, and so much credit must go to them. I'm still in shock with my results, but it just goes to show that when you put in the hard work and stay determined, amazing things can happen."🌟

It was an emotional and proud moment to catch up with Will and hear about everything he has achieved. Watching him grow in confidence, embrace every opportunity, and become such a valued member of the Yeovil College family has been truly inspiring.

Meet Amiyah, formerly of Stanchester Academy and Lana, formerly of Wadham School, who study Uniformed Protective Services at Yeovil College.🌟

When asked about their experience Studying with us they both shared:

Amiyah: “My time at Yeovil College has been fantastic, during the two years I have been studying here I have received great support in and outside the classroom. Steve, my lecturer, has been very helpful throughout my studies and has equipped me with knowledge to help me succeed in the future. For my next steps, I am either interested in an apprenticeship or joining the police.”

Lana: “My favourite thing about my course has been the trips I have attended, as my course has them built into the curriculum. During my time on the course, I have developed both personal and professional skills thanks to my lecturers, which will aid me in getting a future career in the police force.”
