After an amazing week of hearing from our families, tonight I’m having a night off at the theatre!

I love going to see new shows and love the escapism of it.

I am also happy to share that Restart Tuition has supported a local production of Dear Evan Hansen at Westlands in Yeovil, find our advert in the show programme.

All possible because of the support and trust of our families in providing confidence building tutoring in English and Maths.

Today has been one of those days that reminds me exactly why I started Restart Tuition.

My inbox was full before 9am. one of our learners who was a grade 2 in her Maths mock just a year ago and had written herself off completely, opened a grade 4 this morning, along with a 4 in English Lit and a 5 in English Language. She's heading to college with no resits and no remarks. Another learner got a grade 6 in Maths and is now considering Core Maths. A few months ago, that would have felt impossible to her.

But I'm also thinking about the families for whom today has been harder. An outcome that wasn't expected and a future that feels uncertain. I'm reach out to those families too, because a near-miss isn't the end, and options are always there.

This is what Restart Tuition is for. We help students find their confidence, and we stand with their families whatever the outcome.

We're hiring! Following our approval as an EOTAS provider, we're looking for brilliant tutors to join the Restart Tuition team on an employed, zero-hours basis, paying £35 per hour.

We need patient, understanding tutors who can work with learners in EOTAS provision, students who really benefit from having the right person alongside them. The role is primarily daytime hours, delivered both in-person and online. The ability to work in person in Somerset and commute to Yeovil Innovation Centre is a bonus.

After our site visit from Somerset Council yesterday, I am pleased to share that Restart Tuition is now on the Approved Provider Framework, offering support and intervention to students across Somerset who need us the most.
