Linked to their history topic about the Romans, had a go at constructing a small portion of a Roman road. They started of by digging out a small area of soil followed with a layer of grit. This was followed by layers of stones, pebbles and sand. They finally added the top "roadway" level. The children were surprised at how many layers were needed to make the road.

In the University of Cranford Park's Faculty of World Festivals we learnt about Hanami, the Japanese cherry blossom festival. We tried Sakura
(cherry blossom) tea and created our own cherry blossom art. The children also added their festival stamps to their passport.
