Good luck to our fantastic class of 2021 (pictured here performing the first outdoor leavers' assembly) as they receive their GCSE results today.

This class had their final year at school disrupted thanks to COVID but demonstrated great determination and a real sense of community as they returned to school to finish Year 6 with a bang! I am sure they will all achieve fantastic GCSE results and will continue to make HRPS proud as they move onto college, apprenticeships or whatever else the future holds!

We would love to hear from any former pupils about how they're getting on!

Good luck to our wonderful Class of 2019 (pictured here when they were in Year 5 - fashion has really changed since then...) who will receive their A-Level results today.

Whether the near-future holds uni, apprenticeships, gap years or jumping straight into the wide world of employment we are sure that your futures are bright and you will continue to do HRPS proud.

It may be the summer holidays, but we can still celebrate our Year 6 CHILD Award winners.

These children were chosen by all of their former teachers as having represented the CHILD values over their time in the school.

Thanks everyone for a truly memorable academic year. There will be some highlights (and catch-ups of things I've not had chance to post from the last month or so) over the summer so keep an eye out for them. In the meantime, I'll leave you with some of our y6 leavers who won awards for representing our values the entire time they've been at HRPS.

In truth, we could have selected any one of this class for any one of the awards, such is their community spirit, teamwork, excellence, resilience and attitude towards learning, but there can only be 5 (in this case 6 actually.. ) and here they are.

Well done to all of year 6. We are going to miss you all very much. Enjoy a well earned summer break.

To everyone else, have a great summer and we'll see you in September!

One of our magnificent Year 6s was presented with the Synergy Schools Spotlight Award last week. Here is the nomination, written by Miss Palmer:

Last week, she won 1st place at the Saltburn Music Festival for her exceptional piano performance. Having previously achieved 2nd and 3rd place in earlier years, she set herself the goal of reaching the top position and worked incredibly hard to make it happen. Through countless hours of practice, often dedicating much of her Saturday to perfecting her performance, she demonstrated remarkable commitment, determination and resilience. Her performance was so impressive that a representative from the British music society personally praised the maturity and musical excellence she displayed and presented her with a certificate in recognition of her achievement. Her dedication to her craft and her willingness to strive for excellence make this success thoroughly deserved, and she should be incredibly proud of what she has accomplished.

Day 1 of Sports Week was a big success!

The children enjoyed Skip2bFit, NFL Flag and Boxercise and we all enjoyed a slightly cooler day than last week!

Lots more fun activities planned for the week including break dancing, parkour, yoga and more!

Reception enjoyed a visit from Farmer Jayne in her tractor this afternoon. We enjoyed sitting in the shade, handling chicks, investigating crops and asking Jayne lots of questions about farming. Of course, Mrs Smith and Miss Templeman enjoyed the ride too! Thank you for visiting us! 🚜🐥🌾
