At the end of last half term, we said farewell to our Year 11 and Year 13 students in two wonderful leavers’ assemblies celebrating their time at Woodrush High School. With excellent weather adding to the occasion, students gathered together for a memorable final day filled with laughter, reflection and celebration. A long- standing tradition continued as shirts were signed with messages and memories from friends and staff, marking the end of an important chapter for both year groups.
For our Year 13 students, the celebrations included a fantastic range of fancy dress costumes, with Minions proving especially popular amongst many creative outfits! Both assemblies recognised the journeys our students have taken over the past five or seven years at Woodrush, highlighting the friendships, achievements and experiences that have shaped their time with us. Students and staff enjoyed looking back at photo memories and heartfelt video messages shared by staff across the school.
The assemblies also included our annual staff and student awards, recognising outstanding contributions, achievements and commitment throughout the year. We would also like to say a huge well done to all Year 11 and Year 13 students who sat examinations before joining the celebrations. We are incredibly proud of all our leavers and wish them every success and happiness in the future.
