We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2025/26 academic year.

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are thrilled to have been recognised for our success.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped achieve this!

Our wonderful Friends have worked so hard to prepare our summer fair - which will now be on Friday 3rd July due to tomorrow's unusually high temperature forecast. We hope you can all still come and enjoy the fair next Friday! ☀️

See below for details of this year's "Big Norfolk Holiday Fun"

Booking is now open for Big Norfolk Holiday Fun for the summer holidays.

Activities will run between Monday 20 July and Wednesday 2 September offering activities and meals for children aged 5–16 (or 4 if they’re attending school).

It’s free, including a free lunch, for children who receive benefits-related free school meals. Children not in receipt of these can also attend but charges will apply.

From sports to crafts, there’s something for everyone. Active Norfolk is working to make the programme as inclusive as possible for children with additional needs.

The booking process was updated earlier this year with a new booking platform. It means you can now set up your child’s details once and they’ll be saved for all future bookings and you can log into a new system to view and manage all your bookings, past and present and cancel easily in a few clicks if you need. You can also message providers directly to ask questions and discuss specific needs.

The team would advise parents of children with additional needs to:

▪️Contact your chosen provider to discuss your child’s needs.
▪️Complete an online form to help them understand what support might be needed.
▪️If your child has a Personal Assistant (PA), they may be able to attend at no cost to you.
▪️If activity staff are unable to provide support and your child gets 1:1 support at school but doesn’t have a PA, you can ask your child’s school or any other professional working with your child to request extra help.

Congratulations to our wonderful KS2 musicians who put on a fantastic concert last week. 🎶 We were treated to performances on the guitar, voice, cello, saxophone, keyboard and a lot of piano(!) as well as the choir opening and closing the concert beautifully. A huge well done to everyone who performed - it takes a lot of courage to perform in front of such a big audience, and we are very proud of you all.

We had some technical difficulties today - apologies to those parents who tried and failed to purchase books! The card reader is now up and running - it's been tested and is ready to use tomorrow.
Please note that we are sadly not allowed to take cash this year - so card or phone payments only pleased.

Thank you so much to all the families who joined us for our paint-along session this evening. It was a wonderful event and it was fantastic to see everyone getting so creative together. We were incredibly impressed by the amazing watercolour animals produced by both children and adults alike! There are clearly some talented artists in our school community!

A huge thank you as well to Sarah and her team from the Start-studio for leading such an enjoyable and inspiring session for us.
