Congratulations 👏 to Andrew in Year 9 who finished the 2026 season as Cricketer of the Year for Boughton & Eastwell Cricket Club U13s. Andrew was the leading wicket taker and joint leading run scorer for the club. 🏏🏆

Well done to Dillon in Year 10 (far right) and his teammates at Ashford AC for a fantastic performance at the National Relay Championships!

A massive shoutout to the Under 16s boys relay team from Ashford Athletic Club who finished 4th in the National Relay Championships in Birmingham! 👏

The 4 x300m team finished a bittersweet 4th in the National Relay championships. The team of Dillon, Dylan, Jake and Lucas ran 2:30.72 smashing the old club record by several seconds. 🤩

Special mention to Aiden and Oscar who were a part of the team who secured the qualifying time for the championships and to Jamie, who was the travelling reserve on the day.

The championships were held on 23 August 2026 at the prestigious Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. Ashford AC were one of only 16 teams invited to the competition. Entry for this event was by invite only and based on national rankings. 💪

🇮🇹⚽𝗪𝘆𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 🇮🇹⚽

Forty Wye School students enjoyed an unforgettable football tour to Italy this summer, spending two days training with coaches from the prestigious AC Milan Academy. The experience gave students the opportunity to develop their skills while gaining an insight into professional football coaching.

The group stayed at the Hotel Antares in Verona, where students made full use of the hotel swimming pool, enjoying many hours relaxing before and after training sessions. The tour also included a visit to the iconic San Siro Stadium, as well as the AC Milan Museum and Club Shop, allowing students to explore the rich history of one of Europe's most famous football clubs.

On the Wednesday evening, students watched England’s heart-breaking World Cup semi-final defeat to Argentina together in the hotel bar, sharing the highs and lows of tournament football. The trip concluded with a fantastic evening at Gardaland Theme Park, where students enjoyed a well-deserved time on the rides after an action-packed week.

The tour was a fantastic success, creating lasting memories, developing football skills, and providing experiences that our students will never forget. Thank you to Mr Millward for all of his hard work organising the trip and to Ms Moorat, Miss Williams, and Mr Sparks for accompanying the group throughout the week.

𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗽 - 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🚵🛶🗻

What an incredible week we had in Wales for enrichment 2026! Our students threw themselves into all the activities; which included mountain biking, orienteering, gorge walking, canoeing, raft building, climbing, high ropes, kart building and racing, and team building games.

Our group had a fantastic time working together, building new friendships, communicating effectively, learning important life skills, and embracing the challenges of all that was asked of them.

Thank you to Miss Lulham for organising a wonderful trip and to Ms Skilton, Miss Gallantree and Mr Marufu for accompanying the group.

🎸☀️ 𝑷𝒐𝒚𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒀𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒚 𝑾𝒚𝒆 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒓 𝑯𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒚𝒔! ☀️🎸

Students and staff were treated to a fantastic final performance from Poynters Yard as they played us into the summer holidays on the Wye School plaza.

Following tutor group parties and year group celebration assemblies, Year 13 students Joe, Alfred, Bobb and Max performed a range of their songs, including Lost in the Source, which is available to stream on Spotify now! Their music provided the perfect backdrop as students and staff said their final farewells before heading home for a well-earned summer break.

As they leave Wye School, we are delighted that all four band members will be continuing their musical journey at the Guildford School of Contemporary Music (GSCM) for the next stage of their studies. We wish them every success for the future and look forward to following their progress as their music careers develop.

🏅 Wye School Sports Day 2026 🏅

Last Friday we held our Wye School Sports Day! The morning track events began proceedings, with the whole school spectating and cheering on competitors in a wonderful display of support and encouragement. The atmosphere around the track was incredible, with students giving their all and demonstrating determination, resilience and sportsmanship.

The action then moved into year group competitions, where every student had the opportunity to compete for their house in a range of activities including benchball, dodgeball, tug of war and netball. A sea of house colours filled the school as Crown, Olantigh, Stour and Kempe proudly represented their teams. We were extremely proud of the displays of teamwork, encouragement and house togetherness shown throughout the day. Students supported one another brilliantly, making it a memorable event for everyone involved.

A huge thank you to all students and staff who helped make the day such a success. The final results will be announced next week during our End of Year Celebration Assemblies! 🏆 🥇

𝑩𝒐𝒚𝒔 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒕 𝑨𝒕𝒉𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒔 2026!

It was the boys turn for District Athletics action yesterday at the Julie Rose Stadium, and they certainly rose to the occasion! 🏃‍♂️💙💛 Wye produced another outstanding team performance, finishing 4th overall against some of the strongest schools in the Ashford and Shepway districts. A special mention must go to our Year 7 squad, who achieved an incredible 3rd place finish in their year group category.
