A fantastic last day of term enjoyed by all pupils today - but especially our Blwyddyn 6 pupils who get the ‘Line of Honour’ for their last exit from school, Pob lwc. Mwynheuch y gwyliau haf.

This morning’s celebration assembly was the perfect way to celebrate our amazing Year 6 Leavers. We also sang happy birthday to all the pupils who will be celebrating their birthday over the summer!!

A huge well done to three pupils who achieved an incredible 100% attendance this year!! They each received a certificate and a craft book to take home as a well-deserved reward.

We also recognise that, for some children, achieving perfect attendance is simply not possible through no fault of their own. To celebrate everyone’s efforts we had a prize draw, where every child who achieved 96.8% (our school target) or above was entered!

Congratulations to Ben who won!! He has an Amazon voucher to enjoy over the summer!

Our Family Planner for 2026-27 is here!!!

We have pulled together all of the key dates, events and celebrations for the academic year ahead into one handy planner to help families stay organised.

Dosbarth Alyn’s minibeast focus has moved on to bees, particularly honey bees. We have been learning how the bees make honey and watching local bee keeper bee man collecting swarms and showing how he stores and feeds the bees in the winter,
We were also very fortunate to taste some honey from Bank Farm Honey Bangor on Dee McCann which the children all agreed was delicious

Dosbarth Ceiriog had a fantastic time on Friday morning serving customers in Caffi Ceiriog! ☕️😊

The children did a wonderful job practising their Welsh by asking “Wyt ti eisiau…?” while taking orders and serving their customers. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

As we're busy tidying, organising and looking ahead to next year, we're hoping to refresh some of the resources in our provision areas.

If you have any unwanted items at home that you would be happy to donate, our children would make fantastic use of them.

We're looking for things such as:

Wooden spoons
Plastic funnels
Metal whisks
Buckets and spades
Potato mashers
Sand moulds
Metal pots and pans
Metal baking trays and cake tins
Pizza cutters
Silicone moulds
Fabric offcuts
Small toy cars, trucks and diggers
Dressing-up clothes

Dosbarth Alyn had an amazing morning at Magical Malpas. The children didn’t stop from the moment we arrived and explored every area.
