📣 A LITTLE HELP FROM OUR WONDERFUL SCHOOL COMMUNITY! 🏫💪

We’re looking for some helping hands from our amazing primary school parents on Wednesday 26th August! 🧹🎨🔧

We’d love some volunteers to help us with:
🪑 Moving furniture
🎨 Outdoor painting
🧹 General tidying and sprucing up around the school

Every pair of hands will make a huge difference, and we’d really appreciate any time you’re able to give. 💛🙌

We’re also delighted to share that the nursery building works have now been completed! 🎉🏗️✨ We’ll keep you updated with further information regarding the hall repairs as soon as we have it.

⚠️ Please note: Unfortunately, we won’t be able to have children on site while we carry out this work, as there are still ongoing building works taking place. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. ❤️

💙✨ Today we say a fond farewell to two very special members of the Alexander Hosea Primary School family. ✨💙

Firstly, we’d like to wish Miss Maddocks all the very best as she begins an exciting new chapter in her career. 🌟 As a dedicated Teaching Assistant, she has supported our Year 1 children and many others across the school, as well as helping to make lunchtimes happy and positive for our pupils. Thank you for everything you’ve done – we wish you every success in your new role! 🍎💐

We also say a heartfelt goodbye to Mrs Barry, who is retiring after more than 20 years of dedicated service to Alexander Hosea Primary School. ❤️ Over the years, she has taken on many important roles, including supporting our PTA, working as a Lunchtime Supervisor, and as a Teaching Assistant, touching the lives of countless children and families along the way. Her kindness, dedication and commitment to our school community have made a lasting impact.

Mrs Barry, you will be missed dearly by staff, children and families alike. 💕 We hope you enjoy a long, happy and well-deserved retirement filled with wonderful adventures, relaxation and special memories. 🌸☀️

🌟 Year 6 Leavers' Play - Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies 🌟
What a fantastic evening we had last week watching our Year 6 children perform Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies! 🎭💚
Every single child was amazing and should be incredibly proud of themselves. The play had everyone laughing from start to finish, and their beautiful singing truly showcased all of their hard work, talent and confidence.
It was also so lovely to see so many families come along to support the children, alongside members of staff both past and present. Your encouragement helped make the evening even more special.
As we celebrate this wonderful milestone, we're reminded just how much our Year 6 pupils have achieved during their time with us. We couldn't be prouder of them all.
✨ One more day to go, Year 6! Let's make it a memorable one. ✨

🏅 A Fantastic End to Our Sporting Year! 🏅
As we reach the end of another busy sporting year, we wanted to celebrate some of our recent events and achievements.

📍 6th July - Netball Tournament at Yate Academy

Seven of our Year 5 and 6 pupils represented the school brilliantly at the end-of-year netball tournament. They played exceptionally well throughout the group stages and narrowly missed out on the top spot after penalties. We are incredibly proud of their teamwork, determination and sportsmanship. A huge thank you to Mrs Ryall for supporting the team on the day.

📍 7th July - District Field Events at Blue Coat School

Five Year 6 pupils, alongside one fantastic Year 3 pupil, Jayde, who kindly stepped in to help the team, attended the district field events. The children performed very well, with particularly strong results in the bean bag throw and long jump events. Although it was disappointing not to attend the track events this year due to the heatwave, the children represented the school with enthusiasm and pride.

📍 Today - Year 6 Sports Morning

Today, our Year 6 pupils organised and hosted a sports morning for all the children across the school. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together, have fun and celebrate being active. Thank you to our Year 6 pupils for their hard work and leadership.

👏 A Final Thank You

As PE Lead, I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all the parents, staff and supporters who have helped at sporting events throughout the year. Your encouragement and commitment make these opportunities possible for our children.
We are now ready for a well-deserved summer break, but we are already looking forward to welcoming everyone back in September for another exciting year full of sport, teamwork and success!

Crystal class had a fantastic day visiting Stonehenge learning all about the stones, how they got there & how the villagers lived.

During our visit the children even got to see the Army helicopters out on practice!
