For all of you who have been wondering why the curriculum got it's name - here you go 😁

However, I believe that you can still follow the Forest School Principles as much or as little as you wnat while using this curriculum,as you can still add things, move them around or abandon them completely if the mood strikes.

What the curriculum does do is provide a bit of a baseline that you can use to structure your sessions, saving you time and brainspace.

Is this you right now? Balancing the roles of teacher and Forest School Leader often felt like I was doing such different things, but also trying to see whether I could apply some of my knowledge to classroom teaching (it wasn't that easy, so if anyone had been successful I'd love to know!)

One of the hard things was trying to plan great Forest School sessions while also teaching, planning and assessing the rest of the week.

I would have loved a planning guide I could follow, with activity ideas, themes, story suggestions and reflections I could pick up and use.

This activity supports nature connection and helps children and adults tune in to their surroundings and what's going on around them.

MOSS means 'Moment Of Special Silence' and some people like to shout 'MOSS!' before they go silent for a minute or so.
