Durrington High School Celebrates GCSE Success in 2026!

Today’s results further strengthen Durrington High School’s reputation for excellence and high performance across the range of subjects at GCSE. Maintaining outcomes above national averages year after year is a significant achievement and demonstrates the school’s success in providing a high-quality education for all students.

Start of term arrangements

Thursday 3rd September 2026 - Return to school for all students

All students will return to school on Thursday 3rd September for our student orientation day following our INSET days on 1st and 2nd of September. The day will be an opportunity for students to get organised and prepare themselves for the forthcoming school year. Students will meet with their tutor, have an assembly with members of the Senior Leadership Team and have the time to familiarise themselves with their new timetables and updates to school processes & expectations. We will also complete the scanning for fingerprints for the biometric canteen payments on this day.

The timings for each year group can be seen below.

All students will be in full school uniform, meeting all personal presentation expectations and have the correct equipment for school. Students will not need their PE kit.

The first day of lessons for all students will be Friday 4th September which is week B on their timetable.
