This evening, I’ve been crafting a set of questions for my tutoring class, and you might notice they’re quite similar—by design!

This approach draws from ‘Variation Theory,’ a concept tied to Craig Barton’s ‘intelligent practice.’

My goal is to create a progression of questions that carefully scaffold learning, boosting students’ confidence step-by-step before they tackle them on their own.

When I was in Year 4, I used to make ‘Harry Potter’ wand pens for my class. This was to help inspire better handwriting, presentation and pride in work.

This was all the way back in 2017! Time really does go by so fast.
