Did you know?

A Mencap Supported Internship could bring a motivated young person into your workplace without a wage cost to your business during the internship — while giving your team the opportunity to develop valuable mentoring and supervisory skills.

And you won't be left to figure it out alone.

A Mencap skills coach works alongside the learner and supports employers to help make the placement work.

We're looking for businesses across Worcestershire to get involved.

Animal care (pet grooming, boarding, equestrian, vetinary) Trades (plumbing, electrical, construction, painting/decorating) Catering (café, events, food service, pub, restaurant) Outdoor activities (adventure, gardening/landscaping, events, manual)

Mencap Training Academy is looking for employers across Worcestershire to provide work placements for young people on our Supported Internship programme.
There are benefits for you too:

We still have a few spaces for new students to join the 26/27 Supported Internship Programme.

The programme is a 1 year scheme for 16-24 year olds with an EHCP to help them develop and increase employability skills through work placements and class based education.

We are holding matching days at Tesco and the Worcester Whitehouse Hotel. Meet the teams and identify if work experience in one of these companies is suitable for you whilst you study on our SI programme.

The Autism & ADHD Show is coming to the NEC Birmingham on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th June.
