We've had our sports day this morning and leavers service. Unfortunately due to the heat it was another indoor one. Children have had a day of fun and play with their friends.

Please remember this is the last day before we break up for the summer holidays. Have a fantastic break everybody.

We wish our leavers a fantastic start to their primary education in September. We look forward to welcoming our children back on 7th September when Pre School resumes.

We have had our final gentle wake and shake of the year and after snacks we all went out on the play park in the shade. There was lots of physical play climbing on the slide and also imaginary play on the wooden bus. This afternoon we are continuing to practice various sports day activities ahead of tomorrow morning. Mr Potato Head has been requested and fine motor skills practised with the peg boards. Play do has allowed for sensory exploration.

Please remember tomorrow is our final day of this academic year. Sports day will start promptly at 9.15 and will be followed by our leavers service. We hope that you will be there x

Usually we have a fire for our last forest school session and toast marshmallows and eat smores. Unfortunately due to the heat and the very dry ground we haven't had a fire but we have enjoyed sampling marshmallows under the canopy of the tree. We had special visitors from reception bringing artwork which some children completed last week at their transition day. Great construction and physical skills for the obstacle course and imaginary play making homes and cooking up food. The swing and hammock were well used today. A fantastic end to our forest school journey. Our younger group enjoyed music and singing outside with the instruments. We have also enjoyed story sacks. Maths skills were practised joining magnetic foam shapes together. Children also decorated a summer picture with the things they want to do over the holidays x

What an amazing end of year gift from one of our very talented parents. How fitting that it's our last forest school session today. We will treasure this. Thank you. Xx
