CONGRATULATIONS GCSE CLASS OF ‘26

We’re incredibly proud of our students and all of the hard work they put into making this exam series such a success for them.

As a music specialist school, we’re delighted with a 100% pass rate across GCSE and BTEC Level 3 courses.

More than a third of all grades awarded were grade 7 or above against a national average of around one in five across all schools; over a fifth were a grade 8 or 9.

Our pupils are admitted without reference to academic ability, and many join us after their education has been disrupted elsewhere. Results of this kind, from a genuinely non-selective intake, reflect what small classes and specialist teaching can do.

Dear parents of teens in and around the area -

Last night at around 10pm our security scared a group of teenagers off who were poking around with torches looking for a way into the building. We have footage.

We're looking for a full-time Science Teacher — Kimichi School Worcester

We need someone who can teach science well. But more than that, we need someone who is kind. Our pupils are bright, curious young people, many of whom have found mainstream school a difficult place to be. What changes things for them isn't a perfect scheme of work — it's an adult who is patient, consistent and genuinely interested in them.

So: qualified teacher status is welcome but not essential. If you're a recent graduate with a science degree who hasn't found the right role yet, or someone thinking about moving into teaching, we'd like to hear from you. We'll support you properly.

What we do ask for is empathy, curiosity, and the willingness to work restoratively — no detentions, no isolation, just relationships and high expectations.
