The Meadow Primary School PTFA is fully funding a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt Activity for all pupils! 🎊🐣

🔬✨ Science Week Surprise! ✨🔬

Today, the children will all enjoy an exciting Science Show during their school assemblies to celebrate Science Week! 🧪

Get ready for lots of WIZZES 💥, BANGS 💥 and POPS 💨 with amazing science experiments that will wow the children and bring science to life!

👩‍🔬 All children will get to see the show.

🎉 This fantastic event has been fully funded by the PTFA and we hope the children have an amazing time!

Thanks to your incredible enthusiasm and generosity, our festive children’s artwork fundraising initiative raised a fantastic £600 for the school!

Families were able to turn the children’s designs into a wonderful range of personalised items — all celebrating their creativity while raising valuable funds to support enrichment activities and experiences for our pupils.

A huge thank you to all our families, children, and teachers who helped make this project such a success 💫

No tickets will be available after this date. Unfortunately, it's not possible to swap tickets with another child either.

If your child is attending the Year 1 and Year 2 disco please...

👗Send a change of clothes to school, in a named bag, for your child to change into for the disco. They will go directly to the disco from class.

👩🏼‍🏫 Children should be collected from their normal classroom exit after the disco at 4.30pm, by their named parent. If your child usually attends After School Club, please speak to the staff there in advance to let them know. After School Club will collect children from the disco only if they have been notified in advance.

⛔ No money is needed. The ticket price includes glow items and a small snack; crisps, small cheese and fruit will be provided in the classroom before they go over to the disco.

If your child is attending the Year 5 & 6 disco please...

🪩 Bring your child to the red linkway entrance (Sparrow Farm entrance next to the school office) for 5.00pm start

👗Children should wear clothes ready to disco!
There is limited space inside, so large bags should not be brought, and we would appreciate parents keeping their children's coat during the disco.

💰 Money to buy popcorn or glow items can be sent in a named purse/wallet.

🥤 Crisps and squash are included in the ticket price you have paid.

👩🏼‍🏫 Collection is ONLY from the rear of the main hall (Year 5/6 playground), accessed via the Early Years Waverley Road entrance at 6.00pm Children will only be allowed to leave when their named parent/guardian has arrived, please do not be late. Teachers will dismiss the children.

🚗 Please park considerately when dropping/collecting children. Do not block residents' drives or the zebra crossing. Wardens may be patrolling.

🌆 If your child usually attends After School Club please speak to the staff there in advance to let them know. After School Club will take children to the disco only if they have been notified in advance. - please remember to pack their party clothes in their bag so they can change.

🎟️ There is no need to print the disco ticket; a list is provided to the teachers of those who have purchased tickets.

We hope the children enjoyed their Christmas parties today! Thanks to your support, the PTFA donated £50 per class for presents and a Christmas pencil for every child, delivered by Father Christmas 🎄✏️.

It was wonderful to see such a strong sense of community at the Christmas Carols — thank you to everyone who supported the café, helping us raise £280. Our Book Club also raised £88 from donated books, all going towards new reading resources for the school.

Wishing you all a very happy festive season, and a happy, healthy New Year. Thank you for your continued support — see you in 2026!
