July: We ended playgroup with ice-cream and sprinkles for a summer treat.
We started the holidays finding a new place to play and explore at Coffee Cup at the Hive. Lots of outdoor toys to play with and wild flower area to explore. We visited her a couple of times as it was so much fun.
Start of the summer holidays so we had some bigger friends join us on our day trips. Including more picnics, splashing in the streams and lots of park visits!

Beginning of July: The week Daisy came to play(work experience) and became everybody’s best friend. The children were arguing over her by the end of the week!
Was another hot week spent feeding the ducks. Splashing in the streams and Trying to catch the fish with our hands!!
We even explored our bodies and movement by following Danny Go! And Cosmic yoga. 🧘‍♀️ Learning to follow directions, both physically and verbally.

June: visiting our favourite places— Sustain Farm Shop to play in the barn. Lydiard park to feed the ducks 🦆 and Vale View community park to help water the plants and herbs. Swap books and look for the fish. 🐠
We enjoyed a few days of splashing in the paddling pool and used this opportunity to add pippets and water bottles to work on our fine motor skills.

Upto and including May half term. (Yes I’m really that far behind 🤦🏻‍♀️)

The start of our lovely hot summer spent splashing in the streams/lakes and afternoon ice lollies were a must! Lunch in the park became a regular occurence and we were all exhausted by home time 🙂

We’d spent half term at free local events, meeting police officers 👮 and visiting local wildlife areas. We really enjoyed just being in the local environment.

Today is National bee day. So far this week we’ve learnt many facts about bees. Did you know they do little dances when they see each other?
we’ve also enjoyed some sensory play with coloured rice and multiple resources. E even found some diggers that were the same colour as the rice so he added them into the play🙂. Well done E!
