😊🎨 All About Me – Facial Features & Feelings! 🎨😊
Today we focused on our facial features and emotions. The children took turns creating their own faces using our felt face, choosing where to place the different features and telling Anne-Marie how they were feeling — including happy and sad. 🥰
We then took our learning even further and became artists! 🎨 Using mirrors, the children looked closely at themselves and identified their eyes, hair, nose, mouth and other facial features, including noticing their own eye and hair colours.
It was so lovely to see how each child saw themselves and represented their own unique features through art. ❤️ Every picture was different and completely their own!

🗣️ Communication & Language – naming features, describing themselves and expressing feelings.
👀 Understanding the World – noticing similarities and differences between ourselves.

✋ Physical Development – developing fine motor control through painting and creating.
