As another fantastic school year comes to a close, we'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported Woodplumpton PTFA. 💙💛

Whether your child attended events, you bought raffle tickets, volunteered your time, or supported one of our fundraisers, every contribution has made a difference. 🙌

Thanks to your incredible support, we've been able to fund everything featured on our poster – and more! 📚💻🎭 Including new iPads, a furnished sensory room, a MUGA court part-funded with generous donations from local charities, school trips, reading books, Christmas celebrations, as well as repurposed laptops kindly donated by Zebra Technologies - and much more! Every penny raised has gone straight back into the school to benefit our children. ✨Your kindness has made a lasting difference. 💚

To our wonderful Year 6 pupils, we wish you every success as you begin your next adventure. 🌟 We know you'll do amazing things!

🌟 As we come to the end of another fantastic year at Woodplumpton St Anne’s, we want to take a moment to celebrate all that we have achieved together. 🌟
This year has been filled with memorable experiences and achievements, including academic and sporting successes, exciting school trips, inspiring class-led worships, wonderful productions, and so much more. We are incredibly proud of all our children and grateful for the support of our families, staff, governors, and wider community.
A special thank you goes to our amazing PTFA, whose generosity and hard work have made a tremendous difference to our school. Thanks to their fundraising efforts and support, we have been able to provide:
✨ New iPads to enhance learning across the curriculum
✨ A fully furnished sensory room to support pupils’ wellbeing
✨ A new MUGA court, part-funded through generous donations from local charities
✨ Funding towards educational school trips
✨ New reading books for our children to enjoy

Your support makes a real difference and is greatly appreciated by staff and pupils alike.

This morning Year 5/6 had a visit from STEM first in a session funded by the RAF. The children learnt about cyber security and then took part in an 'Escape Room' styled challenge based around the fairytale Hansel and Gretel. They had to work hard in their groups finding clues and solving various puzzles. They demonstrated fantastic teamwork and brilliant problem-solving skills.
Well done to the winners of the challenge team Olaf who scored 130/130! They also didn't ask for any help and completed the challenge completely independently.

This week, our Year 5/6 pupils have been busy planning and carrying out their own science investigations as part of our learning about light. Using torches, mirrors and everyday objects, they explored how shadows are formed and how light reflects, making careful observations, tracing outlines and testing what happens when objects are moved or when we change the distance of the object from the light.
