Essex Schools Athletics Championships

Last weekend, students from Trinity took part in the annual Essex Schools Athletics Championships at Chelmsford Athletics Track, producing an outstanding set of performances and achieving a number of notable successes.

Among the highlights was Henry, who set a new school record in the 800m, while Isabella delivered a superb performance in the hurdles, winning the gold medal and breaking the school record in the process. Kian earned a well-deserved bronze medal in the hammer event, and Grace also set a new school record in the 800m. Joy achieved both a bronze medal and a new school record in the 200m.

A special congratulations goes to Joy and Isabella, who both achieved the qualifying standard to represent Essex at the English Schools Championship, an exceptional achievement and testament to their hard work and dedication.

We are incredibly of all our athletes for their commitment, determination and sporting excellence. Well done to everyone who competed and represented the school so brilliantly. A big thank you to the PE department and Miss Loster who were there to cheer on our students!

A small group of our students are engaged in a Catholic Social Teaching Project, called ‘Linking Lives’. Their aim is to target loneliness and isolation among the elderly, bridging the gap between the generations and making meaningful connections by bringing people together through social events and activities. For their first event, they are hosting a Seniors’ Afternoon Tea Party on Friday 19th June. To ensure the success of the event, they are kindly asking for monetary donations which will go towards the cost of food, refreshments, decorations and prizes for the free prize draw. Contributions of any size would be greatly appreciated; your generosity would make a big difference for all those attending. ⚽🇪🇸 What an unforgettable experience for our students in Madrid! They had the incredible opportunity to train with coaches from Real Madrid, developing their skills, teamwork and confidence along the way.

Our students were a true credit to the school and their families throughout the trip, and we couldn’t be prouder of how they represented us. A huge thank you as well to the staff who accompanied and supported the students every step of the journey.
