🌸 Celebrating 60 Years of Compassion 🌸

On 10 May, Tzu Chi UK warmly welcomed families, volunteers, educators, and community guests to the 2026 Buddha Bathing Ceremony at Tzu Chi Academy London.

This meaningful event commemorated Tzu Chi’s 60th anniversary while honouring Buddha Day, Mother’s Day, and Global Tzu Chi Day through gratitude, reflection, and compassion.

One of the most touching moments was the “Offering Tea to Parents” ceremony, where children respectfully served tea and presented carnations to express heartfelt appreciation for their parents’ love and care.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in making this special day so memorable.

On Sunday, 3rd May, our TCML adult learners explored the history of Chinese seals and enjoyed a hands-on rubber seal carving workshop. ✨

From their names to newly learned characters, each student proudly showcased their own creations — even those who had only just begun their Chinese learning journey!

The session sparked great interest in the art and cultural heritage behind seal carving.

On Sunday, 3rd May, our adult students learned about the history of seals and enjoyed a workshop of “rubber seal carving." Even though some students have only been learning Chinese for a few months, everyone showed a proud smile when they presented their names, surnames, or some newly learned characters through rubber seal carving. After the class, the students expressed a strong interest in the history of seal carving and the artistic expression of Chinese characters.

本處江雅綺公使出席受邀出席英國慈濟聯絡處與倫敦慈濟人文學校農曆春節前夕歲末祈福感恩會，現場約120人齊聚一堂，共慶新春🧧

江雅綺公使致詞時感謝慈濟長年於全球推動慈善與人文志業，將來自台灣的愛散播到世界各地，讓更多人看見台灣的溫暖與良善，這正是台灣軟實力最動人的展現。她也肯定慈濟設立中文學校與台灣華語文學習中心（TCML），致力教授正體中文與推廣傳統文化的努力，並祝福大家新年快樂、馬年吉祥如意！

Deputy Representative Chiang was invited to the Year-End Blessing and Gratitude Ceremony held by the Tzu Chi UK Office and the London Tzu Chi Academy on Lunar New Year's Eve. 120 participants gathered to celebrate the arrival of the New Year together 🧧

In her remarks, Deputy Chiang expressed appreciation to Tzu Chi for its long-standing dedication to promoting charity and humanitarian causes worldwide, spreading love from Taiwan across the globe and allowing more people to witness Taiwan’s warmth and kindness - an inspiring example of Taiwan’s soft power at its best.

She also commended Tzu Chi for establishing a Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning (TCML), recognising their commitment to teaching traditional characters and promoting traditional culture. She concluded by wishing everyone a Happy New Year and an auspicious Year of the Horse!

As the festive Christmas season fills the air, Tzu Chi Academy London and the Taiwan Centre for Mandarin Learning - TCML Woodford successfully concluded their Autumn Term and End-of-Term Appreciation Lunch on Sunday, 7th December, thanks to the wholehearted support and cooperation of teachers, students, parents and volunteers.

As the festive Christmas season fills the air, Tzu Chi Academy London and the TCML Taiwan Centre for Mandarin Learning successfully concluded their Autumn Term and End-of-Term Appreciation Lunch on Sunday, 7th December, thanks to the wholehearted support and cooperation of teachers, students, parents and volunteers.

From early morning, families and adult class students brought along lovingly prepared vegetarian dishes to share. Tzu Chi volunteers kindly coordinated the venue set-up and dining arrangements, ensuring everything ran smoothly.

At midday, following heartfelt words of appreciation from Headteacher Ms. Lu and Mr. Yeh, from the Taiwan Overseas Community Affairs Council in the UK, everyone queued in an orderly manner to enjoy the meal in a warm and harmonious atmosphere.

Many families attended together, taking this precious opportunity to reconnect, share care and exchange seasonal blessings. The gathering was filled with joy, gratitude and a strong sense of community.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back on the first day of the new term, 11 January 2026.

隨著聖誕佳節氣氛日益濃厚，倫敦慈濟人文學校暨 TCML - Tzu Chi UK - Woodford 臺灣華語文中心於12月7日圓滿完成本學期秋季課程及期末感恩餐會。在全體師生、家長與志工們的齊心協力下，活動溫馨順利，畫下美好句點。

一早，各家庭與成人班學員便準備了精心烹調的素食佳餚，帶到學校，由慈濟師兄師姐及志工團隊統籌規劃場地布置與用餐動線。中午時分，在呂校長與僑務組葉組長先後致詞感恩後，大家依序取餐，現場秩序井然、氣氛溫馨。

許多家庭扶老攜幼齊聚一堂，彼此交流關懷、互道祝福，在這難得的時光中增進情誼、凝聚善緣。

期待於 2026年1月11日新學期開學日與大家再度相見。感謝您一路以來的支持與參與，祝福大家聖誕佳節平安喜樂、闔家安康。
