Emy's little Angels

Emy's little Angels I am a qualified Ofsted Registered Childminder since 2014, I am also a member of the PACEY. To provide a safe, happy, stimulating and caring environment.

I live close to Wood Green Station, I am Italian and live with my 2 grown up children one attending university and one working full time. I am able to accept up to 15 hours per week of nursery education funding. Aims
To provide a safe, happy, stimulating and caring environment so that your child can learn to play, develop their self confidence and communicate to the best of their ability. To provi

de your child with support and guidance through a wide range of experiences and resources. To provide a well planned curriculum that meets the needs of each individual child and follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. To work in partnership with parents and make good use of available professional support. I work along side with 3 assistants both of them have DBS check, Pediatric First Aid and Safeguarding Certificate. The whole of the downstairs of my house is dedicated to childminding and enjoy playing outside as I have a big garden with a lots of outdoor games. Children are free to move to access the large range of toys and activities I provide. I have child minded children from 3 months to 12 years and provide a safe, secure and fun, home from home environment. All children until they start school in the reception year have their own learning journey, which shows how they are developing, what they are achieving, photos of places we have been to, learning activities through play and any pictures or paintings they have done, so that you don't need to feel you are missing out on any part of your child's day. We tend to go out in the morning and be home in time for lunch, and a quiet afternoon before the school runs. Any child that needs a nap can and I also have a quiet book corner for children to read or spend time on their own. I am a non-smoker and nobody is permitted to smoke on the premises. The front door is kept locked at all times and there is also a chain on the door. A typical week will involve visiting soft play centres, going to play group, going to the park, lots of playing, colouring, singing, reading books and most of all having fun. Children are encouraged to suggest where to go and what to do within the safe limits of my care. I am open from 7am to 7pm, 50 weeks per year. I am closed on Public and Bank Holiday. I am available to do school/playgroup pick up within 2/3 mile from my house.

Growing vegetables in an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting offers a fantastic opportunity for hands-on learning and exploration. Children can engage with the natural world, develop an understanding of where food comes from, and learn about plant life cycles. Activities like planting seeds, watering, and observing growth can foster curiosity and a sense of wonder. Activities and Learning Opportunities:
Planting:
Guide children in planting seeds or seedlings, emphasizing gentle handling and the importance of watering.
Observing growth:
Set up a science experiment where children can observe how vegetables regrow from scraps.
Sensory exploration:
Encourage children to touch, smell, and taste different vegetables, fostering sensory awareness and vocabulary development.
Maths and Literacy:
Use vegetable-themed activities to introduce concepts like more, fewer, and equal, and to develop descriptive language.
Life cycles:
Talk about the life cycle of plants, from seed to harvest, and the different parts of the plant.
Sustainability:
Introduce the concept of composting using fruit and vegetable waste, connecting the growing process to a sustainable cycle.

4 colours cotton buds and let the imagination take over ❤️

Art and craft activities provide a platform for children to express their ideas and feelings freely.
Activities like painting, drawing, cutting, and gluing help children refine their hand-eye coordination and small muscle control.
Collaborative art projects and sharing creations encourage children to interact with each other and develop social skills.
Describing their creations, explaining their process, and using art-related vocabulary enhance language skills.
Exploring different textures, colors, and materials engages children's senses and stimulates their development.
Children learn how to use tools, materials, and techniques, which can be applied in other contexts.

Summer is in the air ☺️

In EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage), art and craft, part of Expressive Arts and Design (EAD), focuses on developing children's creativity, self-expression, and fine motor skills through a variety of activities and materials. It encourages children to explore different materials, experiment with techniques, and share their creations while developing their imagination and communication skills.
