🥣✨ Little people, big independence!

Our children love being independent at breakfast, choosing what they’d like & serving themselves. 💛

Self-serving helps children build confidence, develop fine motor skills, practise decision-making and learn important everyday life skills.

It might be a little messy sometimes but that’s all part of learning! 🌟

We love watching their confidence grow as they proudly say, “I can do it myself!” 🥰

We have some lovely news to share! 🥰

Our owner, Kelly, has been named Influential Woman in Business: Early Years Education & Workforce Impact 2026 by Innervision Global. ❤️

Kelly began her career as a nursery nurse, and although her work has grown enormously since then, supporting thousands of early years professionals across the UK, she has never lost sight of why she started..... to provide the best start for children.

A belief that the experiences children have in their earliest years really do matter, and that by investing in the people who care for and educate them, we can make a difference that lasts far beyond nursery.

That same belief is at the heart of everything we do here at Wombourne community Nursery and our sister nursery Codsall Community Nursery

Kelly is incredibly proud of our nursery teams, the relationships we build with our families and, most importantly, the wonderful little people we have the privilege of watching learn and grow every day.

We know Kelly isn't particularly good at stopping to celebrate herself 😂 so we're doing it for her!

Congratulations Kelly, we're very proud of you! ❤️🥂

The children are embracing the 'ber months' and enjoying some wonderful seasonal learning!
They are enjoying exploring the beautiful tuff trays thoughtfully set up by Laura, getting creative, investigating and learning through play. 🧡🍁

Look at the differences between a typical preschool child’s hand (left) and a typical 7 year old hand (right). Want to know why a preschool aged child isn’t able to write yet? This is why! Their hands are still developing and are not fully formed. So what should they be doing to support this? PLAY!! Playdough, colouring, cutting, gluing, playing outside, digging in dirt, sensory play, dress up play, science experiments, beading, puzzles, throwing balls, etc. All of these things help their hands develop. When they are physically ready to write, they will! No need to rush them, they will show you when they are ready!
