🕒 Throwback to a Year Ago: Celebrating Our Dance Family! 💖

✨Time flies when you’re building community! One year ago, our team stepped away from the studio floor to hold a vital Not-for-Profit Branding Away Day. 📈💼

As a CIC, finding a space that feels safe, supportive, and welcoming is everything to us. We hired the wonderful studio space at for the first time, and it felt like a home away from home. 🏡

Safe to say, it gets a massive green tick from us!

✅We want to give a huge, well-deserved spotlight to this local gem. Here is why we absolutely loved it:

🏡 Cosy, Intimate & Private – It felt like a nurturing sanctuary where our team could truly relax and think creatively.

📍 Heart of the City – Super easy to locate with effortless public transport links and local shops right on the doorstep.

☕ Thoughtful Amenities – The kitchenette and restroom access kept us feeling looked after and fueled all day.

🎥 Bonus Generosity – Having access to their dance resources and projector allowed us to bring our vision to life. Talking Dance Without Moving 💃🏾

🗣️✨We spent the day focusing on how to better serve you, our community. We were incredibly proud to collaborate with the brilliant PR agency .diagonaldance who specialise in dance.

Together, we dived deep into community engagement, visibility, and ways to uplift the sector.

🌐📣A magnificent thank you to the visionary founder for creating such an inspiring local space, and a special shout-out to the wonderful for looking after us so beautifully on the day. You are both absolute stars!

From a single spark in 2018 to the Buckingham Palace gates in 2026. 👑

- Eight years ago, our founder Tamar, unique tay , took a leap of faith. Armed with nothing but a fresh idea and raw passion, they joined The King's Trust Social Enterprise programme. - After jetting off to an Afro dance retreat to Ecole des Sables in Senegal 🇸🇳

- Tamar came back home with pure joy and a lightbulb moment. That very spark laid the foundation for what would become Unique Movez Dance Collective CIC 💡

- Today, that full-circle journey brings a monumental milestone. We are deeply honoured to announce that Unique Movez received an invitation to for The King’s Trust 50th Anniversary 🥂

- While this private invitation names our founder, this moment belongs to every single dancer, volunteer, director, and community member who has stepped through our doors.

- You are the heartbeat of this journey.A special thank you to Zoe, Denise, Pat, Patty, Val, and Diane. We also want to send a massive thank you to our very first mentor when we started, Sara! 💐

- This recognition proves that there is always light at the end of the tunnel for community-led work. We don't just teach steps—we use dance to build confidence, elevate social well-being, and bridge generations.

- We are so proud to be Wolverhampton’s home for cultural diversity through movement. 💯 🏡
