As a part of Black History Month, today is dedicated to Katherine Johnson!
From 1962, Katherine Johnson dedicated her studies to using geometry in space. NASA used Katherine's mathematical calculations to safely send John Glenn into orbit around the earth. Later, her skills allowed astronauts to go to the Moon and back!
A monumental achievement for the world and for women in STEM which deserves recognition 🚀

Congratulations to one of our Year Six pupils who represented Newbridge and Wolverhampton in the National Children’s parliament. World Mental Health Day : The green ribbon is the international symbol of mental health awareness. Today we wore a green ribbon to show each other, loved ones or simply those we walk past that we care about their mental health. It can also be worn in memory of a loved one.
