Even those that never fully blossom, bring beauty into the world 🦋💕 July 19th - Day of Hope. We remember our angel by sharing hope with others.

"No feet are too small to leave on footprint on this Earth"

Hope was named because at the time, this is all we had. Now we want to share just that with the world, bringing meaning and goodness from her life to others. Whether this be a simple act or something more extravagant. Maybe donate some unwanted items to your local charity shop, volunteer some time at your local school, make someones day,

I've had some fun this year with a couple of guess the location posts and guess what? While packing for our family holiday, I came across 1 FINAL butterfly. A beautiful 4 winged, big, pink one! It only felt right that it came with us and found itself a home at our destination. No prizes for guessing where it went though! Comment if you think you know.... 🦋🐭🧚‍♂️💖

After all the wind we've had recently, would you believe that this little butterfly, after all this time too, was sat waiting to be found in Wolverhampton on a sunny day 🌞🦋 Only found yesterday! And just a couple of days before the anniversary of the day that Hope was finally put to rest in peace xx

This week I've been on a day trip and as I was getting my bag ready I found one more butterfly! It felt only right that she landed in this new, very different destination to usual!
Here's your clues... I think this one is MUCH harder than our last guessing game... Who knows where she landed?? 👀🦋

Every year once the butterflies are out there and being found, we always tend to have a significant story or two come out. Whether it be poignant, meaningful, heartwarming or otherwise. This year we have a couple of stories to share. Our first one is this and this year it amused us greatly 🤣

Hopes Grandad placed one of her butterflies at Howdens at Bridgnorth. That evening, he ran into a member of staff from there, whilst at the local supermarket. Grandad asks "So, have you found any butterflies?". The lady replied "yes" but as Grandad explained all about Hopes butterflies, she became clearly puzzled and increasingly confused by the story. Grandad didn't think too much into this and they went on their way!

The following day, Grandad visits the store again (he's clearly a very loyal customer!) and the gentlemen behind the counter were laughing and keen to share their funny story with him. It turns out, during the morning, the day before, the team had found a deceased butterfly in their warehouse. It was apparently extremely beautiful with many colours so they had carefully laid it out to get a closer look at this fascinating creature. Grandad had then shared with the staff member in the evening that we have hundreds of them that we put everywhere. The staff at Howdens were so concerned and shocked to discover that (what they thought) the customer they thought they knew so well and his family, we're planting hundreds of deceased butterflies everywhere each year in Hopes memory! They all found the real explanation much more heart-warming and everyone was able to have a good laugh about the misunderstanding with much relief mixed in! 🤣🤣

The truth behind the story had come out when one of the delivery drivers had been lucky enough to find Hopes actual butterfly and showed it to the team 🦋😂

Mother's Day isn't an easy, relaxing celebration for everyone. If you're someone who finds today difficult whether it be because you're a mommy without your baby or missing your own mom, be gentle on yourself today 💓😘 xx

Some of our Gift of Hope community will already be familiar with this beautiful story. We've been to leave this year's butterfly next to Hope's tree again this year. Hopes sister noticed that the tree is as big as she is now! An honour to watch it grow and see our other children grow with it 🦋🥰🌳
