Excited to see the first wolf has emerged....

The First Wolves In Wolves (WinW) was launched today (June 20th 2017). The Fallen - in St Peter's Memorial Garden in Wolverhampton (UK). The other 29 Wolves in Wolves are 'released' on the 4th of July. This one 'arrived early' to coincide with Armed Forces Week as the Wolf - THE FALLEN - remembers the 2,000 people of Wolverhampton who died in World War One. We, at Outside Centre, are appreciative of the partnership with the Wolverhampton Civic and Historical Society, HLF, Wolverhampton City Council and all the WinW Project's other partners, sponsors and, espeecially, all the magnificent artists.

Junction Festival of Contemporary Arts

Good evening ladies and gentleman, brides and grooms, washed and unwashed.
Further to our previous post, we're glad to confirm that the Junction Festival of Contemporary Arts is continuing, and the festival will take place this year on Friday 30th June and Saturday 1st July.

We're undergoing some changes, with a view to getting bigger and better, and in particular working to improve the contemporary art presence in future years. We're working alongside some long established groups in Wolverhampton and the surrounding area, and together the aim is to build upon what we have achieved over the last few years.

This year then we will be concentrating on the music, and we're pleased to report that this year's venues are as follows:

The Clarendon, Chapel Ash
Combermere Arms, Chapel Ash
Chindit, Merridale Road
Royal Oak, Compton Road

More details of all the acts will follow in the next few weeks, but until then, feel free to share to spread the word

Many thanks

Junction Festival

I'm really excited and so very happy to be making a career from something I enjoy the most. Thank you to everyone out there who has supported me over the last 4 years with your comments, shares, likes and purchases - it's made a huge difference.

Come and join Adult Education Wolverhampton at our FREE Family Learning Easter Event on Tuesday 11th April, 10am- 3pm.

Crafts | Flowers | Food | Egg Hunt
Family Learning programmes engage parents and carers so that they improve their own skills to support the work of schools and help their children to succeed by understanding how children learn in school and how they can help them at home. The skills are developed as an integral part of FEML courses in many subject areas such as Healthy Exercise and Art, Crafts and Textiles. Children and adults soon grow in confidence and communication which contribute to success.

Wider Family Learning programmes offer short, fun activities to initially engage families and provide the first steps into learning and supporting children’s learning. Longer programmes in English, Maths and Language show parents and carers how to encourage the love of reading, writing and using numbers in children and gain useful qualifications themselves which can help them towards further learning or gaining employment.
