Big shout out to our Makaton Choir!

They took part in the Academy ‘Endeavour to Inspire Concert’ on Friday evening, with great reception from the audience.

The choir completed a 30 minute set where they showed off their Makaton skills to a variety of songs. Well done, you made us very proud!

After a long, tiring but fun first day of our DofE expedition, that saw the students walk 9 miles (to Bratches Lock and back to school again), enjoy their homemade packed lunches, and then cook their own meals last night (followed a game of footy and then toasted marshmallows around the campfire), it's safe to say that the students didn't need much encouragement to get in their tents, get cosy in the sleeping bags and drift off into peaceful slumber.

Time for round two today, but not until we've filled our bellies and had a cuppa.
