Keep Hatch Garden 🍅🥒🥬🎃

Our garden is bursting with wonderful vegetables. The Gardening Club have done an amazing job caring for every seed they planted, and now we can all see how much it’s grown. Such teamwork, patience and pride.

Well done, Gardening Team — you’ve created something beautiful! 🪏🪴 and thank you to Mrs Saravanan for continuing to look after the vegetables over the summer holidays 💦

Proud moment for our school — we’ve been awarded the School Games Gold Mark for 2025/26
This will be a second gold!

This recognition celebrates our dedication to participation, competition, leadership, and clubs across the whole school community.

Thank you to all the children who represented the school, parents for supporting your children at these events and staff who have made this award possible. And of course the biggest thank you and well done to Mrs Somerville and Mrs Connelly for their hard work in achieving this award for the second time!

⚽🏆 World Cup Sweepstake Winners! 🏆⚽

Now that the World Cup has come to an end, we’d like to celebrate all of our classes for taking part in our World Cup sweepstake and supporting their teams throughout the tournament!

A huge congratulations to Sycamore Class, who were given Spain in the sweepstake – and what a result, as Spain went on to become World Cup champions! 🎉🇪🇸

Well done also to our runners-up, Willow Class, who supported Argentina 🇦🇷, and to Elm and Robins classes, whose teams proudly competed in the third-place play-off. 👏

We hope everyone enjoyed learning about different countries, celebrating their teams, and sharing in the excitement of the tournament. Thank you all for making it such a fun and memorable experience! 🌍

Puffins and Sparrows - Class of 2025-2026 📚🎓

First year of Primary School is complete — and what a wonderful year it’s been 🥰

The children have grown so much, showing incredible progress in every area of school life. We’ve shared so many special moments together: the Christmas workshop, sports morning, the colour run, swimming, Beale Park, baking, the dance studio… and countless everyday achievements in between.

We are so proud of each and every child. They’ve worked hard, laughed lots, and supported one another beautifully. We will miss them, but we know they’re ready for their next adventure.

Gardening club 🪴

A huge thank you to all our wonderful Gardening Club children, wonderful parent and grandparent volunteers! A special thank you to Mrs Saravanan and Miss Pomorska. Without you all we wouldn’t be able to run this great club.

What a brilliant summer it’s been — planting, growing, and harvesting a whole rainbow of fruit and vegetables together. 🍓 🥒 🎃 🍅

This term the children have sown wildflowers and watched bees flock to their new patch, built a cosy bug hotel, planted armfuls of strawberries (and enjoyed taking a few home!), and cared for every corner of our garden with pride.

We’ve loved seeing our cucumbers, squash, tomatoes and pumpkins begin to grow — each week bringing new excitement and discoveries.

It’s been a fantastic term, and we can’t wait to see what our autumn garden has in store for us next.

Claying Around: Art Club’s final creations.

​In this final half term, our Art Club sculpted a fantastic, eclectic collection of clay masterpieces. From a feast of pizza, sushi, cookies and doughnuts, to trinkets, Denby-style dishes, a toad and a miniature gaming station.

A huge well done to all of our creators—their hard work and unique ideas really made this clay project one to remember.

Puffins and Sparrows trip to Beale park 🐒🦉🛝🦜🕷️

The children have had a truly lovely day at Beale Park. We saw so many animals, enjoyed plenty of playtime in the pirate park, and tucked into lunch in the shade — very welcome in this heat. The children behaved beautifully throughout.

Even though the train was out of action today 😢 we had a great time at the new sloth enclosure 🦥

If you ask them, though, the most exciting part might just have been the coach journey there and back. The chatter and the giggles… pure joy.

A huge well done to all the children. We are so proud of you ☺️ and a huge thank you to the amazing parents who came to help.

🎉⚽ World Cup Celebration Days with FUN Football Coaching! 🌍🏆

A huge thank you to Jason from Fun Football Coaching for joining us and leading two fantastic football‑focused days. The children had an amazing time learning new skills, playing team games, and building confidence through teamwork and fun.

We’ve also loved following the World Cup, checking in on our sweepstake countries, and watching match highlights together. The children were especially excited to see artefacts from around the world and listen to children’s stories about the countries they are from — a brilliant way to bring global cultures to life 🌍

Year 1 even made their own origami football kits, adding creativity to the celebrations! It’s been wonderful exploring different cultures, traditions, and the spirit of international football ⚽️

A year 1 child also shared with us that her great grandad was an Arsenal player! ❤️

We’ve loved the football coaching, the sweepstake excitement, and seeing our school decorated with flags and country celebrations. So much joy everywhere! 💛⚽
