Introducing multiplication! 💭✖️✨✅💯

A wonderful session with my Year 2 pupil- that focused on introducing multiplication through grouping!
We looked at making different groups using play dough- a great visual method which supports learning!👏🏼✅🔍🧠

We then matched the groupings to the correct wording- to consolidate our learning! My pupil did a fantastic job, I cannot wait to progress this concept moving forward 📈✅✨

Festive fronted adverbials!🎅🏼🎄✏️

This SPaG session with my wonderful Y6 pupil focused on fronted adverbials & the suffixes ‘-ious’ and ‘-ous’✅✨

We worked together to create sentences with fronted adverbials- telling us where, when or how! Leveling up our SPaG skills & writing✏️📈
Check out the amazing sentences my Y6 created using some super fronted adverbials😍✅✨

We also focused on our spelling; carefully choosing which words need the ‘-ious’ or ‘-ous’ suffix!💭✏️👏🏼

Of course- with Christmas creeping up day by day, we decorated a gingerbread man throughout our session- after creating our different sentences🎄🍪😍

Year 6 SATs smashers maths group!💥

Today’s session was a super festive & crafty one! We focused on dividing multiples with the KFC method (keep, flip, change)!!🎄🎨🤭❄️🎀🎅🏼

Dividing fractions can look scary! But when we break it down step by step (KFC) - solving becomes simple!👏🏼✅✨

The children got to design their own baubles by solving division of fractions questions!! This session was such fun & my group absolutely SMASHED it👏🏼🎄🎅🏼❄️🤭💥

Christmas has arrived at the Learning Lodge! 🎄❄️🎅🏼✨🎁

I’ve had some help from my wonderful friend Jingle, setting up my lodge for Christmas!
Jingle is an educational elf from the North Pole, who has come to sprinkle some learning magic into each session this month!✨

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year! I’m so ready for a few festive weeks of fun, learning and even more growth from each of my pupils!!👏🏼✨🎄🎁❄️🎅🏼

What a super start to the week- my SATs smashers group absolutely smashed fractions of amounts!!

Maths doesn’t need to be scary! At the Lodge, in my group sessions - we break down and go through mathematical topics in a fun, engaging and confidence boosting way💥
