☀️Brookwood Primary School Summer Fair is almost here!☀️

Join us on Saturday 13th June, 12pm–3pm for an afternoon packed with family fun, fantastic entertainment, and delicious treats!

⚽ Penalty Shootout
🎯 Fair Favourites including Coconut Shy, Plate Smash, Card Games and more!

🎶 Don’t miss live performances from the Winston Churchill Band at 12pm and 1pm, and our raffle draw at 2:30pm.

Every ticket, game and treat helps raise vital funds to support our school and students. Bring your family, friends and neighbours – everyone is welcome!

What a fantastic turnout of pupils at Guildford Park Run this morning— A great way to get moving for the FOBS Just Move weekend! 🎉 Don’t forget, we’ve got a BBQ at school from 12–2pm today: sunshine, burgers, hot dogs, freshly baked goodies, and garden games. We can’t wait to see you there!

FOBS are back again this year encouraging you all to run, jump, swim, wheel, hop, glide, cycle, crawl, walk - anything you fancy to get yourself and your family up and about and moving this spring!

Just Move started during Covid when we were all struggling to get outside as well as a way of looking after our physical and mental health. It's a chance for anyone to get a little more movement into your life, in whatever form suits you!

Please donate whatever you can - last years funds are providing facilities for the children such as a buddy bench and a table tennis table. This years fundraising target is in support of additional SEND resources that will help to benefit the whole school.

We were delighted to welcome our local MP, Will Forster, to Brookwood Primary School and Nursery yesterday!

The visit began with a tour of our brand-new school-based nursery provision. Mr Forster then led a whole-school assembly, sharing insights into his role as an MP and answering thoughtful questions from our pupils – we were so impressed by their curiosity and confidence!

The visit continued with a meeting with our School Council, who spoke brilliantly about their ideas and experiences at our school.

Thank you to Mr Forster for taking the time to visit and engage with our school community – it was a truly inspiring morning for everyone involved.

We’re looking forward to welcoming our local MP, Will Forster, to Brookwood Primary School and Nursery tomorrow!

During his visit, Mr Forster will tour our new school-based nursery provision, lead a whole-school assembly with a Q&A session, and meet with our School Council.

We’re excited for our pupils to share their ideas and learn more about the role of an MP!

🔬✨ Science Snapshots! ✨🔬

These snapshots from our Year 3 to Year 6 pupil books show how scientific skills grow and deepen across the years. What begins as brainstorming ideas and learning key vocabulary about light develops into planning and conducting experiments, explaining how shadows form, and recording results with increasing accuracy.

Students move from labelling parts of a plant to understanding life processes, making thoughtful predictions, and applying their knowledge to new concepts such as classification, the six kingdoms of life, and exploring reproduction through spore dispersal.

A fantastic progression of skills showcasing curiosity, enquiry and confident scientific thinking! 🌱🧠✨
