We have had two very emotional days. We said goodbye to our wonderful Ann β€” thank you, Ann, for everything you have done for Mayford Pre-School over the past 22 years. You will be greatly missed, and we are so grateful for all the memories you have created with us.πŸ’›
We also said goodbye to our lovely school leavers. We wish you all the very best as you begin this exciting new chapter of your lives.πŸ’›
We are looking forward to welcoming the rest of the children back in September.πŸ’›

🏴󠁧󠁒󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿On the final day of our World Week, we travelled to Wales!🏴󠁧󠁒󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 The children had a wonderful time dressing up in beautiful costumes, trying traditional Welsh cakes, and creating their own dragons at the craft table.

Thank you to all our wonderful families for their support with the children's costumes and the delicious traditional snacks they provided throughout the week. Your contributions helped make the celebrations even more special and enjoyable for everyone.

Day 4 of World Week took us to Ukraine! The children enjoyed listening to Ukrainian music and decorating eggs at the craft table.
Our wonderful Ukrainian families spoiled us with a variety of delicious homemade traditional foods. The children enjoyed trying Ukrainian cheesecake, Deruny and Syrnyky.
At the end of the day, we learned about Ukraine and found its location on the world map.
It was a lovely day filled with culture, creativity, and delicious food! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦βœ¨πŸŒ

Day 3 of World Week took us to Pakistan! The children made beautiful Pakistani flags and enjoyed waving them proudly while playing in the garden.
They also had the opportunity to try some delicious rusk cake and enjoyed the lively atmosphere as the preschool was filled with Pakistani music. During carpet time, the children learned about Pakistan and discovered its location on the world map.πŸ‡΅πŸ‡°

Day 2 of World Week was full of fun as we explored Malta! Some of the children came to preschool dressed in the colours of the Maltese flag, making the day even more special.

The children enjoyed making Maltese buses at the craft table, tasted some delicious Maltese snacks kindly provided by one of our lovely parents, and learned about Malta and its location on the world map. πŸ‡²πŸ‡Ήβœ¨πŸŒ

We were excited to begin our World Week celebrations by exploring Romania. The children made beautiful sunflower crafts, tasted delicious traditional Romanian food kindly prepared by one of our lovely parents, and learned where Romania is on the world map.

The children also planted sunflower seeds to take home and watch grow. Some even came dressed in Romanian-themed outfits!
It was a wonderful day full of learning, creativity, and cultural exploration. 🌻✨

We enjoyed reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar, got creative with lots of colourful painting, and even had a very special visitor when one of the children brought in a real caterpillar to show her friends!
The children were fascinated watching it move and talking about what it eats and where it lives 🌿 Such a lovely day full of curiosity, creativity and learning πŸ’š

The children had a lovely day at preschool celebrating with a castles, horses and dragons theme. They even made their own dragons at the craft table.
