🍂 Autumn Nature Walk
Over the next week, our babies and Pre-school will be given a special home-learning activity to enjoy alongside their parents and guardians. We have invited families to take part in an autumn nature walk and collect a selection of interesting natural items to bring into the setting for the children to explore and incorporate into their play.
Activities such as this provide valuable opportunities for children to develop their curiosity and awareness of the natural world. Exploring different textures, colours, shapes and natural materials can also support their sensory development, communication and language, and early understanding of the changing seasons.
We strongly value the involvement of parents and guardians in their child’s learning and development. Shared experiences outside of the setting help to strengthen the connection between home and nursery, while giving families an opportunity to spend meaningful, uninterrupted time together.
We also hope that this activity provides our families with a chance to step away from the demands of everyday life, enjoy some fresh air and spend quality time exploring the outdoors together.
We look forward to seeing the wonderful autumn treasures our little xplorers discover and using them to inspire further exploration and play within the setting. 🍁🌿
