Amazing that wheat grown on the Dartington Estate by Jon Perkins has made it's way via Dartington Mill into this local wheat bagel ... order yours here with your veggies... https://shop.apricotcentre.co.uk/boxmaster/category/Montreal%20Style%20Bagels

So many exciting things have happened since our pitch at the Local Entrepeneurs Forum REconomy Project: Totnes. This coming week marks the launch of two very exciting developments - our bagels being offered as part of The Apricot Centre at Huxhams Cross Farm deliveries and the launch of the local bagel - grown, milled and baked in Dartington - how cool is that! As result of the many generous pledges, our bagels have also had a ‘photo shoot’, we have been blessed with a business angel 😇, have started looking at production premises, and are in discussion with potential partners and investors. All since September 5th. What an amazing community we live in - supporting each other in so many ways.

We are delighted to announce a collaboration with Spindle Wood farm to supply fabulous chicken, which you can order through our website and have delivered by Olivia Jenkinson and the team at Spindle Wood farm...

At Spindle Wood Farm we use regenerative and agroecological practises to raise our livestock. We do not use any chemicals on our farm and our animals are fed organic grain at certain times throughout the year. The animal's presence on the land is one that benefits the land as well as them and ultimately us the consumer. Our animals are given fresh grass daily, they are kept on the move which means the land is grazed, not too much or too little and fertilised at the same time. It is given time to recover and is not depleted, a perfect recipe for soil growth and health.
