What a performance our LAPA students put on in their first ever Christmas Concert on Wednesday evening 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We are so, so proud of everyone who graced the stage and sang their hearts out, every face was beaming from start to finish and they all shone like the superstars they are ⭐️

It takes a lot to go on a stage and sing in front of an audience of 200 but even more to do it with 80 plus SoundSational Music backing singers and they all nailed it!!! It was a beautiful evening of singing and definitely got us all into the Christmas spirit 🎄

We wish all our LAPA families and friends a wonderful Christmas and New Year filled with joy and laughter 🥰 We can’t wait to see everyone back at class in the New Year to get started on our annual show 🎭

⭐️ Meet The Team 2/4 ⭐️
Alice Wylie - Acting/Drama Teacher
🎭
Alice graduated with a BA in Musical Theatre from New College Lanarkshire. Since graduating, she has performed professionally in numerous projects. These include touring productions of the play “Doon the Watter” and pantomime “The Snow Queen” with Geez A Break Productions, Assistant Entertainment Manager at New Beach Holiday Park in Kent, and performed in The Little Iceberg at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Currently, Alice also works full time as a drama teacher at Clyde Valley High School.

Alice hopes that the transformative power that drama can hold can be more widely recognised, as it is incredibly beneficial for developing core skills such as co-operation and confidence. She believes that every person should have the right to self-expression in a safe environment, and she feels drama is the perfect vehicle for this 🎭

Some of our LAPA students were in the recording studio singing for one of the biggest pantos in Scotland last week🎧🎙

This was an incredible experience and they all left with huge smiles on their faces and had THE best fun 🥰

The long awaited day is here! Two of Scotland's top youth arts organisations, Dance Pointe Academy and SoundSational Music, have merged to launch a spectacular musical theatre experience for the young people of Lanarkshire from ages 5 years + 🎭

LAPA students will receive extremely high quality tuition made fun and accessible while being taught by tutors with an immense amount of industry experience and contacts.

A huge well done 👏🏻👏🏻 to all the wonderful young people who joined us at our Easter Camp “A Musical Review” last week 🎩

We had lots of fun learning new Musical Theatre skills with singing, dancing, acting and theatre crafts through out the week long extravaganza working on excerpts from:

💫 Encanto
💫 The Lion King
💫 Beauty and The Beast

The week ended with an incredible performance on the last day for families and friends to see what these young talented people had achieved in only a week 🤩 They definitely did themselves proud!! 🌟

We cannot wait for our next LAPA adventure 🙌🏻

💫 Easter Holiday Camp Extravaganza 💫
There is less than one week left to book your space in our Easter Holiday Camp “A Musical Review” 🎩

If you know a young person aged 5 - 11 and 12 - 18 years who loves to sing, dance and act then this is the week for them. Everyone is welcome whether they experience or not ⭐️

Throughout the week they will learn excerpts from famous theatre shows in a fun and nurturing environment resulting in a performance on the last day. This is going to be a experience not to miss 🤩

🎺 We have now opened up our drop in workshops from Monday 11th - Thursday 14th at only £10 per day. If you would like to come along for the experience but can’t make the whole week just drop us a DM.
