For those of you who followed our journey through Learn by Play, welcome back —
I thought it was about time I shared a little about what Mum and I have been working on.
What started as Learn by Play has grown into something much bigger than we ever imagined. We now have our own creative studio based at the Evolution Business Centre, and with this exciting new chapter came a new name and a new vision.
Our studio sits alongside other businesses that focus on health and wellbeing, from massage therapy and reflexology to Tai Chi and other holistic treatments. Being part of that community made us realise that creativity has an important place in wellbeing too.
Life can be busy, stressful and, at times, quite lonely. Whether you're a parent looking to meet others, someone juggling work and family life, or simply someone who wants to take a little time for themselves, we wanted to create a space where you can switch off, slow down and enjoy being creative.
We truly believe that creativity can be therapeutic. Taking time to sew, paint, make something with your hands or simply sit with a cup of tea and chat can help you relax, clear your mind and reconnect with yourself.
That's why we've designed our studio to feel calm and welcoming. We have two dedicated spaces:🧵 A sewing room, fully equipped with sewing machines, fabrics and everything you need to learn and create.🎨 A group room where we run our classes in a relaxed environment.
One thing that's really important to us is keeping our groups small. Rather than large, busy classes, we usually have just 6–8 children or a small group of adults. This means everyone gets plenty of support, there's no pressure, and the atmosphere stays friendly, calm and welcoming.
At the moment we offer:
✨ Stay & Play – Tuesdays at 10am & 12pm
🎨 Children's Art Club during the school holidays
☕ Craft & Natter on the last Friday of the month.
We also have lots of ideas for future workshops, sewing classes and creative sessions, so keep an eye on our page!
