Today we have used shop-bought cupcakes to measure and then calculate the size needed to build packaging for them. We compared different 3D shapes' area and volume to determine which gave the best value for money and then created a model of the net for that shape. The cuboid was best and now we are ready to measure out, then cut and build our packages.
Next week we will be baking our cupcakes and bringing them home to sell.
We will of course need to taste the shop- bought ones, just to make sure!
