And just like that… our school leavers have all flown the nest and headed off to BIG school! 🥹🎒

We’ve been absolutely spoilt with so many wonderful gifts, beautiful cards and the loveliest messages. Thank you so, so much — every single one has meant more than you know! ❤️

It’s always such a bittersweet time saying goodbye to children who have been such a huge part of our nursery family. We’ve watched them grow, learn, explore, make friends, get muddy, laugh, discover and become the amazing little people they are today.

We’re going to miss them more than words can say, but we’re so excited to see where their next adventure takes them. Go and smash it, little Wildlings! 🌿

Fresh air, open spaces and the freedom to explore are at the heart of what we do. From wandering through the woodland, searching for minibeasts, collecting natural treasures, caring for animals or simply taking time to notice the world around us — every adventure brings new opportunities to learn! 🐞

Being outdoors supports children’s confidence, independence, physical development and wellbeing. It encourages curiosity, creativity and those wonderful “I wonder…” moments that lead to meaningful learning. 🍃

📚 A little walk to our village church library 📚

We are so lucky to have a lovely little library in our village church, just a short walk away from nursery. We held hands and set off on our adventure — with one very important stop on the way… the park, of course! 🛝

Because let’s be honest… no walk is complete without a play in the park! Swings were swung, laughter echoed, and little imaginations ran wild before we continued on our way. 💚

The children loved exploring new stories and recognising familiar ones too — there’s something magical about turning pages together and seeing their faces light up with each new picture. 🌈

Back at nursery, the children were still talking about the stories they had heard, retelling parts and acting them out in their play. That’s the power of books — they travel with us long after the pages are closed. 💫

From park adventures to peaceful reading moments, our little walk reminded us just how important it is to explore our community, enjoy the outdoors, and nurture a love of reading from the very beginning. 💚📚

🌿 A few showers didn’t stop our adventures! 🌧️

Coats on and off we went to explore! 🌳

During our wander, we spotted lots of juicy blackberries and had a little chat about foraging safely. We talked about how we should only ever pick berries when an adult says they are safe to do so, as not all berries found in the wild are safe to eat. 🫐

With our safe to eat blackberries carefully picked, we brought some back to nursery for a very important taste test… and they were yummy! 😋

But our adventure didn’t stop there! The children decided our blackberries were destined for something even more delicious… blackberry crumble! 🫐🥣🍂

And yes… it was absolutely delicious! 😋

What a lovely morning! 🌞

Today our children enjoyed a walk into the village to watch the travelling Morris dancers perform at Wing Maze. They loved listening to the traditional music, watching the colourful costumes and energetic dancing, and waving to the performers. 🎊

It was a wonderful opportunity to experience a local tradition, learn about our community, and create special memories together. Thank you to the Morris dancers for such an entertaining performance and for making our morning so memorable! ❤️
