This morning, Mr Pettle was invited to Shire Hall to speak at a meeting of the full Warwickshire County Council, petitioning for the installation of a crossing on Windmill Hill. Through the work undertaken by local councillor Councillor Ben Edwards, Parish Councillor Ester McCarthy and Jeremy Wright MP, this morning was the culmination of many years of investment by a great many people. At the end of Mr Pettle’s speech, Councillor Shaw (Transport Portfolio Holder) confirmed that this project is now on the Active Travel Fund and “you will be seeing a crossing coming to Cubbington”!!!
We are so pleased that the safety of our children and their families is being seen as a priority, and that our local community will soon have a safer route to travel around our village 🚦😃
