Butterfly update

Not much to update. They’re still in their cocoons.
Maybe this week we will get some butterflies 🦋

Caterpillar update 🐛

They’ve been growing.
They are so big now.

The children have been commenting on all the Caterpillar Poo 💩

we’ve noticed the small parts that the caterpillars have shedded so they can grow larger

We’ve noticed that the Caterpillars have started to migrate up to the top of the tub and I woke up this morning to find one caterpillar attached to the top.

We’ve enjoyed creating our own hungry caterpillars 🐛 we’ve been looking more closely at the different parts of the butterfly life cycle 🦋 and using the story of the hungry caterpillar to practice our counting 🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓

Caterpillar Update
We’ve had our caterpillars for just one week and they have more than tripled in size.
Today we have brought them in to the garden for some fresh air ☺️

We’ve counted them each day and there are still 5, very pleased that none have escaped 🐛🐛🐛🐛🐛
