Learning to notice, name and express how we are feeling through art 🎨🖌️ Learning that ALL feelings are okay and normal 😊
The children used colourful silk scarves to scan down their bodies and check in with themselves, noticing how they were feeling after a busy day at school. They chose which colours they wanted to use to represent each emotion and decorated their hearts. Some children chose to work independently and others explained their artwork to friends as they created 😍

Did you know that I offer 1:1 sessions in the child's home? These are planned according to the unique needs and interests of each child. I am a qualified Primary Teacher, Relax Kids Coach and have also completed training in Play and Art Therapy Techniques. My sessions include a combination of these techniques to support children with their emotional literacy and mental health. Common themes include;
My Brilliant Brain - a child friendly way to explain the fight, flight, freeze response and strategies that can be helpful
Chill Skills - fun techniques for calming the nervous system
Heart House and Feelings Visitors - using art to recognise and understand that all feelings are okay

I was talking to a group of parents about negative brain bias in a workshop last week so thought it would be helpful to share this post. Lots of great tips and information. I have also done some fantastic training in Lego Therapy and Dyslexia with Niki and would recommend 😁

This is a FUN workshop for children who are starting school in Year R in September. Jules is a qualified Primary Teacher and Relax Kids Coach and understands that these are EXCITING times that can also sometimes be a little bit overwhelming for all involved! Come along with your child and enjoy a SUPERHERO themed session that will be based around new beginnings and transition. Learn some fun strategies to make it a HAPPY, FUN and CALM experience. We'll include some great breathing tips to get parents through the first day of school too!

A lovely relaxing end to our session with Coach Alice from Mighty Netball . The children were inspired to design their own netballs after playing some fun games, stretching their muscles and talking about the benefits of team sport on their minds and bodies 🏐💚💜

- Collect and return toys, games, and puzzles from a network of local community hubs - making RePlay easy, local, and accessible for everyone
- Access spare parts to keep your own toys, games, and puzzles in play for longer, supporting a repair-first approach to play

I'm working on partnering with venues across Wi******er so families can play, pick up, and drop off toys at local places they already visit or can easily get to. And as RePlay grows, so will our selection and our spare-parts supply - helping everyone repair, reuse, and keep great toys, games, and puzzles in play.
