We had a bit of a mix of weathers at Forest School this week, but that just added to the fun and adventure of it all! π
Iona provided us with wood and cotton sheets so we could get stuck into making props for our upcoming show, Robin Hood! πβ¨
π° Some of us chose to craft money pouches and wooden coins, carefully rounding them off with sandpaper.

π΅ What an afternoon of pure musical magic! β¨
Our school music concert was an absolute triumph. We had rockinβ drummers keeping the groove, guitarists shredding with confidence, pianists moving us with beautiful melodies, and a chorus of voices that filled the entire room. πΉπ₯πΈπ€
The absolute highlight was Year 6 playing "Sweet Caroline" on the drums.
A massive thank you Mrs Tiley for giving up her own time so the show could go ahead. You rock! β

πβ¨ Big Green Week at John Keble Primary! β¨π
We were absolutely thrilled to welcome our local MP , and his assistant Peter Roberts to school to help us celebrate and recognise !
To mark the week, every single class created incredible eco-themed artwork, which we brought together to host our very own spectacular art gallery. π¨π
A massive shout out to the amazing members of our Eco Council. They spoke beautifully, showcasing so much passion and brilliant ideas on how we can all work together to support and protect our planet. We couldnβt be prouder of our young eco-warriors! πΎπ±

The team rolled up their sleeves to tackle the weeds, dismantle our old wooden grow-house, and set up a shiny new plastic one! π οΈβ¨
We also managed to plant some radish and nasturtium seeds, but the real excitement came from the local wildlife. We found several caterpillars (expertly identified by Mrs Gale! π) and one absolutely massive spider that had Mrs Kempson running for cover! π€£π·οΈ

Learning to use tools in forest school
What a difference a bit of sunshine makes! We had a great time enjoying the better weather and getting outside today.
Hereβs a glimpse of what we got up to:
π οΈ Tool Masters: Iona showed us exactly how to use a small saw and hammer safely. We put those skills straight to work building some fantastic hanging bug hotels! ππ¨
Many of us practised our focus and precision using small knives and sandpaper to whittle and smooth out sticks.
π³ Tree Climbing is Back: Because the ground wasn't wet and slippery for once, we finally got back up into the branches for some tree climbing adventures!
𧱠Clay Creations: We even put our hands to work with the natural clay dug straight from the forest soilβincluding molding this very cute cuboid!
There is nothing quite like learning, creating, and exploring together in the great outdoors. π

To celebrate Green Week, Year 6 has been thinking about global.warming and the effects it has on the earth. We created ice-cream earth drawings to show how the rise in green house gases is causing temperatures to rise. πβ»οΈπ¦ ******erschools
