Sometimes the timing just isn’t right. 😢
⏰ It has become clear over the last few days that May is not going to be a good time for group classes. My local playgroup has decided this morning to close indefinitely and I think we can all see that the situation is going to continue for quite a while.
⏰ So I’ve cancelled my hall hire at Cotham Parish Church with a view to postponing until later in the year.
⏰ I’ll continue to use this page as a blog for preschool language ideas. 👶 🧒

🌏 All around the world, children are starting early with languages - really early!
🌏 For a majority of people that means English, the most widely-used lingua franca at the moment (although by no means the only one - Mandarin, Arabic, French, Spanish and Russian are all used as lingua francas in various parts of the world).
🌏 This means there is a wealth of great practice out there, ready to be easily adapted for other languages!
🌏 Does it also mean that first-language English speaking children should miss out on the fun and cognitive/cultural benefits of a 2nd or 3rd language? I certainly don’t think so, do you?
